Our cargo agency is at your service for any enquiries you may have and works in close collaboration with freight handling agents in Paris as well as in Reunion. In Reunion, Air Austral has a special individual service for clients wanting to send personal effects or family parcels to France.

Indian Ocean

Air Austral having a thorough knowledge of the Indian Ocean market can satisfy any requirement for freight transportation on its routes and especially in pre and post forwarding services. The B737 quick change can be converted into full cargo in less than one hour’s time (16 tons in belly) and increases the freight capacity on the Reunion - Mayotte route as well as on the other Indian Ocean destinations, according to demand. The excellent connections between the Paris-St Denis and the regional routes allow for optimum freight transportation under the best possible conditions.

Dangerous Goods

Dangerous Goods as defined by the curent IATA rules are not accepted as airmail post. The following dangerous goods are not accepted on Air Austral :
  Infected or poisonous animals
  Corrosive substances : mixture of hydrochloric and nitric acid (ONU 1798)
  Substances that on contact with water emit inflammable gasses :hydroreactive and inflammable solid, N.S.A. (ONU 3132) and hydroreactive solid, selfheating N.S.A. (ONU 3135)
  Radioactive substances(class7) : parcel of category 2 and 3 are accepted with previous approval of the operator.The approval to be requested at least 10 days at Air Austral Cargo before date of forwarding.

The forwarding of dangerous goods departing from Moroni, Mauritius, Antananarivo, Nosy Be, Tamatave, Majunga, Johannesburg, Dzaoudzi, the Seychelles is accepted with previous approval of the operator. Request for approval to be submitted at least 10 days before forwarding date, at Air Austral Cargo in Reunion.
