With its wealth of towns rich in art and history, allow yourself to be swept along by the shear enthusiasm of the Aix en Provence or Avignon summer festivals. As a fan of good living, why not investigate the region’s vineyards, bouillabaisse restaurants discovering the châteaux and countryside and sampling the authentic flavours of its typical - and colourful - local markets. For those who love buildings, what better than the region’s rich architectural heritage represented by the bullring at Arles, the roman theatre at Orange or the Papal Palace at Avignon.

Sport and nature : between sea and mountain

Try out your swing or putt on a green designed by Severiano Ballesteros, try canyoning in the Verdon Gorges, or what about competing in a sea regatta, discovering the Lubéron and its tiny villages by mountain bike or even perfecting your parallel turns on the sunny southern alpine slopes. Magnificent natural sites and a mild, sunny climate enable you to take part in all your favourite sports in the open air.

Thanks to a well developed roadway network, it is easy to go to Marseille (A7/A55), Salon de Provence, Avignon, Arles et la Camargue. Eastward, by using the A55 motorway then the A50 one, you will connect to Toulon and the Var.

Distances from the airport : Marseille : 25 km, Aix-en-Provence : 30 km, Cassis : 54 km, Arles : 70 km, Avignon : 80 km, Saint-Tropez : 135 km Montpellier and Orange : 100 km.

Shuttle buses

  Access to Marseille : 7 days a week, every 20 minutes from 6.10 till 22.50.
  Access to Aix en Provence : 7 days a week, every 30 minutes from 5.25 till 23.35.

Car rental
Seven car rental companies are present on Marseille Provence airport. Commercial welcome from 6.30 till 23.30 (Ada, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National Citer et Sixt).
