The 115 islands that make up the archipelago of the Seychelles lie like a handful of confetti, strewn on the Indian Ocean between the Equator and Madagascar. The granit islands in the Northern part are among the most famous in the world with their white sandy beaches lined with huge boulders polished throughout time. Mahe, Praslin and La Digue are all names inviitng to exotic escape dreams.

But the republic of 80000 inhabitants is not only confined to its main islands. Corners of paradise are found all over the granit islands.On the South-East lie the Amirantes and Farquhar archipelagos. Numerous of those coral islands are deserted. The atoll of Aldabra, home to thousands of giant turtles has been declared a World Hertiage Site.

Tourism is the prime industry of the Seychelles. The country manages its exceptional environment with infintie care so that the Seychelles magic may still cast its spell.
