Only the transport of dogs and cats is permitted on Air Austral flights.

Animals accepted in cabin (PETC)

Air Austral allows in-cabin travel only for the following animals:

• cats or dogs (excluding first and second category dogs): the animal's weight plus its container must be less than 8 kg.

Any other type of animal will be transported as freight or in the hold.
Cost of transporting your animal in cabin: €125 per journey to all destinations.

Animals transported in hold (AVIH)

Transport in the hold is mandatory for cats and dogs weighing over 8 kg.
The hold is pressurized and ventilated.
The total weight, animal and its cage, is no longer included in the baggage allowance.

A fixed fee must be paid:

• €200 per journey to all destinations.

Train + Air Ticket
Travel with a pet is possible with a Train + Air ticket.
Accepted are:
- dogs or cats weighing no more than 5 kg (including carry case or transport box),
- assistance dogs.

Please note that your pet's ticket is not included with your Train + Air ticket.
For your train journey with SNCF: you will need to purchase your pet's ticket on the website sncf-connect.com or at the SNCF counter at your departure station.
