Visa
A visa is required. Anyone arriving without a valid visa will be rejected by the indian authorities.
To enter the Indian teritory, it is necessary to have a valid passport and a visa corresponding to the purpose of stay.
Visa application
The visa application must be made with an Indian Embassy or Consulate.
The delivery time for a visa by the embassy is about 5 working days.
The documents to be provided when making an application vary depending on the type of visa requested.
The validity of TOURISM visa is 6 months maximum, and permits multiple entry.
Important : it's impossible to request a visa extension or change on site, so, right from the departure, it's necessary to apply the right visa with a duration correponding to the stay.
Special licenses
The access to specific areas of India (Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Cachemire, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand frontiers) is submitted to special licenses.
It is necessary to request these special licenses with an Indian embassy, by proving the purpose of stay in these areas.
