Travelling with children

Child travelling alone

Children above 4 and under 11 years of age, can enjoy our "Unaccompanied minor" service when travelling alone, provided they have no physical or mental disabilities.

Your child is booked in a special fare class. For any booking or question, please contact us:

At the airport

Before going to the airport, we invite you to complete the online : UM declaration form

Once checked-in, a pocket containing documents necessary for the journey and allowing to identify him will be given to your child.

A dedicated Air Austral agent will accompany the child to the aircraft. Then, our cabin crew will welcome him and stow his hand-baggage.

On arrival, an Air Austral agent will meet all unaccompanied children at the aircraft door and help them crossing the immigration before handing them over to their designated guardian..

If there is another airline included in the itinerary, we will take care of him until the next check-in. Then, the next designated airline will be in charge of the child.

Important information

On departure : before leaving the airport, please wait for confirmation of departure of the flight, by an air Austral agent.
On arrival : the designated person in charge of collecting the child will be required to show us formal photographic identification and sign the UM declaration form.
